Take the time to read our site
If you spend some time on Double-Barrelled Travel, you’ll see that our niche is unearthing the culture when we travel – focusing on both the people and the places. We also review luxury accommodation.
Since October 2015, when we re-focused our blog, our articles have focused on:
Travel sketches: Vivid impressions of a place or experience that’s quick to read but lasts long in your memory.
Travel journalism: In-depth articles that analyse, explore and celebrate the different people and places we discover on our travels.
Hotel reviews: We love staying in luxury locations and occasionally write about some of the best spots we’ve stayed in.
If you are pitching a guest post, please understand that we only accept guest posts free of charge if they are from fellow travel bloggers.
If you are a travel blogger, please send your pitch along with a link to your website so that we can take a look.
If you are a company – please do not pretend you are a ‘travel writer’ if you’re hoping to embed a link into a guest blog that runs back to a commercial site.
This is an advertisement and we charge for this. However, we’re fussy – if the guest blog isn’t in line with our travelling style (relating to culture, adventure or travel tips) then it won’t be for us. The guest post also needs to inform, offer advice or be helpful to our readers in some way.
The link that’s embedded within the guest post also needs to relate to the post’s content, so please do not contact us about posting a blog on travel packing tips if you’re trying to sell online gambling.
If you are working on behalf of a company and have taken the time to read the above, and would still like to work with us, please contact us. In your email, please pitch what the guest post will be about and provide a link to the website you want the post to lead to. We will reply with our rates and further instructions.
